NEW PATIENTS: START HERE!
We love new patients!
First: What is chiropractic?
When should I see a chiropractor?
If you’ve had chronic back pain, you have sensations of pain or tingling in your head or limbs, or if you feel as though you aren’t as mobile and limber as you once were, chiropractic can help.
How many times a week do I see my chiropractor?
Dr. Nick recommends seeing a chiropractor one to twice per week if you’re recovering from an injury or chronic pain. This will allow the doc to get a feel for how your body is responding to the treatment, and will let him make changes to the treatment in an appropriate way so that you have long lasting relief and healing.
First: Getting to know you.

- Before you step into our office: let us get to know you so we can get you the most help possible when you do come in!
- Fill out these forms here, and our team will review them to make sure we can give you treatment on the first visit.

Meet Dr. Nick!
Next, after some preliminary x-ray taken by our office staff, Dr. Nick will meet with you and review initial findings. This means he’ll talk to you about what he’s seeing in your x-ray, and what he thinks would be the best treatment for you–starting today!
Your first adjustment
If you’ve never had a chiropractic adjustment before, not to worry! A chiropractic adjustment is very similar to cracking your knuckles: it is simply a release of trapped gases from between joints (the “pop” you hear.) This small pop is what Dr. Nick uses to help your spine gently realign properly, so that you can start getting relief from pain or discomfort as early as today!
Dr. Nick will walk you through the process, give you four first adjustment, and will schedule the next appointment with you. Normally, this will be the next day so that Dr. Nick can do some more work on your x-rays, and give you a full Report Of Findings, as well as a plan for treatment to help you get out of pain as fast as possible, or to help you perform or recover better and faster.

Ongoing Treatment

Two Paths: Corrective Care or Relief Care
For many patients, relief from pain is the primary goal. However, sometimes there are other structural issues that Dr. Nick might see that means fixing a “spinal deficit” or other issue in the body.
Relief Care is where Dr. Nick meets with you about three times a week to work on relieving pain you’re feeling in your spine or body. The goal here is to help you get back to living life as soon as possible. We’ll keep working with you until you feel the pain is completely gone.
Corrective care is where Dr. Nick diagnoses a specific issue in the spine, and wants to work with you seriously to correct it with the goal of removing poor function and pain forever. The goal of corrective care is to help your spine’s posture come closer to what is considered correct so that you can walk, run, sit, and generally enjoy life more! These treatment periods are broken into “corrective cycles” and often just one cycle is enough for patients to see real, lasting relief and changes to their body and lifestyle.
